These past two months have been insane for me. Since the beginning of March, I have been rehearsing virtually every night for Red Noses performed in Long Island City, NY at the Nicu's Spoon Theater. I played Jean Mistrall, a military man set on raping a nun, who meets his demise quite early in the play (I must admit, throwing myself on the ground after being stabbed, followed by an overly-dramatic death while flirting with audience members was pretty awesome) and then of course I was also LeFranc, the French Goldmerchant Member who loves whores. The running joke of many cast members included his famous catch phrases in a heavy French accent ("Zats gooooddd!")
While working on Red Noses, I got cast in the short film, "Two Worlds" directed by Konstantin Starodetskii about a 1970's biker chick who ends up in jail after a bar fight. While in jail, a portal opens up and transport her to 2015 where she meets a nerdy scientist. The scene of where they first meet after she is transported to the future has been shot but the remainder of the film is scheduled to shoot in May or June.
After playing men and a badass biker chick, I accepted a role as a woman who gets murdered in the short film "Neurosis" directed by David Burdzy. Without spoiling this story, Detective Tillman has an encounter with a Woman in Red at a bar only to find her dead in an alleyway. Though I was killed, it was nice to work with fake blood again and wear a dress for once in these past two months.
Oh yea, new reel's up. Check it out ;)
