Whoa what a crazy month! I recently shot a short for New York Film Academy called Dystopia (video shared) and this was a great production to film. There were a lot of running scenes that we shot right in Union Square and Times Square. It was quite awesome sprinting throughout these streets with the bad guy, played by the talented actor Logan Stearns, chasing after me. The story focuses on a female in a post-apocalyptic world who tries to break from the control of one man and transport to an alternate universe. Though this was a short film, the director, Michael Mirabella has discussed future plans to turn this into a feature.
Oh filming has not stopped with Dystopia. At the last minute, I was hired to play a bad guy for the film The Silent Lynx, directed by Jack Armellin. I have only done one day of filming so far, as future filming has been pushed back to May 2015. But let me share a little of what took place on the day of filming ;) Myself and anothe actor learned last minute an intense fight choreography that led to me needing to pull out some Kali moves with a real metal pipe. The fight scene came out fantastic and we kicked some major ass in this 2 on 1 fight choreography but unfortunately the bad guys didn't win here and I had to succumb to defeat.
Not only am I busy filming but I have also joined the Niko Spoon Theater to perform Red Noses, directed by the wonderful and inspirational, Stephanie Barton-Farcas. I actually play multiple characters and have some solos but the main characters I play are Jean Mistrall and LeFranc. The cast and crew are an absolute delight to work with and I am stoked for when we start performing in April.
That's it for now!
